Since 2013 the population of Greater Melbourne has increased by almost 23%, and I sometimes wonder whether we are on a path to nowhere – will our public transport ever catch up with the growth with we persist with our present attitudes towards development of the city of Melbourne and transport solutions generally in Australia? Sadly my answer to that is no. Our present attitudes simply result in a greater problem and the solutions more difficult to make.
